4+1

Workstation

The 4+1 Workstation is inspired by the transformation architecture offices underwent in the 1990s, when computers began to replace traditional drafting tables. During his years at the Vienna University of Technology, Murat Tabanlıoğlu closely observed how architectural workspaces were evolving, and how collective production was reshaped by this shift.

As architects moved from individual drawing boards to shared computer desks, a new need emerged: a workspace that supported collaboration, communication, and simultaneous concentration.

The 4+1 Workstation is a contemporary response to this need:
– A system where four users work in fixed positions,
– While an additional +1 participant can join the table seamlessly,
– Enabling quick discussions, teamwork, and fluid interaction at the heart of the workspace.

At the center, the cross-shaped base discreetly houses computer units and cable management, while structurally supporting the single-piece, footless square tabletop.

This creates a clean, uninterrupted, and generously open work surface. Designed not only for architects but for allcontemporary teams, the 4+1 Workstation enhances collective thinking, fast decision-making, and integratedcommunication within any office environment. A workstation that places teamwork at the center, bringing collaborationand meeting culture into a single, refined piece of furniture.
